Book a session!
Our sessions are held monthly and are an hour long.
Our standard session is held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month.
Our Home Education sessions are held on the 2nd Friday of the month.
As soon as you arrive, you can get stuck in to the activities that are set out for you and your cub(s) to explore. There will be 45 minutes of free play followed by a little clean up time.
We end the session with a small snack as a refreshment. Whilst the children are eating, we’ll sing some songs to wind down (getting messy and exploring through the senses is tiring and overstimulating at times. We find that singing at the end helps the children relax).
All sessions are £5 for 1 adult and up to 2 children. It is then £1.50 for any extra adults/children.
Here at Creative Cubs we believe in fun! We love getting messy and creative and believe that children learn best when they think they’re not learning! There is so much to get out of sensory messy play and getting creative invokes that vivid imagination that we admire about children.
Learning through play is a key part of child development and is supported by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum which mandates this method of learning in all early years settings.
We’ve had parents wonder at times during sessions if their child is enjoying themselves (more so the under 1’s). We need to remember that this could be the first experience your baby has had with messy/sensory play. Even if it’s not, they’re in a different environment, with different people. There are hundreds of millions of neurotransmitters being developed in our children’s brains every day. Learning can look unconventional and unlike how we expect our children to react. Rest assured, they’re learning AND having fun. It’s absolutely fascinating and humbling watching children return time after time, and begin to get involved with more than they have done previously! It’s why I love what we do.
A Messy Group, A Clean Environment
Our aim is to have good, messy fun whilst also being as Eco friendly as possible. We try to reuse and recycle any resources where possible. Our endeavor to be single use plastic free is something we feel strongly about too. The way we are encouraging this is by providing wash cloths and asking attendees to bring a towel.
